In 2016 Stu made the transition from Umpire to Coach for the Sunbury Lions C Grade team and in collaboration with Jenni Lewis had a wonderful first season with their team taking out the Premiership. In 2017 Stu and Jenni move into their second year as Co-Coaches of the C Grade Netball Team, no doubt chasing back-to-back premierships. As a child Stu spent a lot of time watching his two sisters play for their domestic Sunbury teams, especially his sister Rebecca, who played for the Sunbury Lions. Stu’s umpiring career began spontaneously when the Sunbury coordinator at the time suggested he come to training in white and he’s been umpiring ever since. Stu’s extensive understanding of the official rules of netball has assisted his team appreciate the complexity of the game and adjust their playing styles accordingly. Stu has been involved with the Sunbury Lions Club for the best part of 10 years and is looking forward to being the proud coach of the reigning Premiership C Grade Team for 2017.

Suzi is the icon for ‘tough’ among the netballers. Her ability to perform highly regardless of who she’s play for and against, is second to none. On the court Suzi is the calm and controlled player when necessary and utterly ruthless when that’s what the team needs. She’s is above all a team player and a huge support to every player at the club. These qualities earnt her Sunbury’s B Grade Runner Up Best and Fairest Award in 2016. Suzi returns as D Grade Coach for the third year, with the experience of playing in 3 consecutive Premierships under her belt.
